The ASP Women’s World Tour field was whittled down to 10 after three rounds were run at the Rip Curl Women’s Pro today.

One match from the third round, Megan Abubo vs. Amee Donohoe, was postponed, but otherwise round three action saw current ASP Women's leader Chelsea Hedges advance, along with previous Rip Curl Pro winners Layne Beachley and Sofia Mulanovich.

The first three rounds saw little in the way of upsets amidst friendly swells at the Bowl and at Rincon.  In the afternoon, conditions slowed due to the tide but almost a complete round three was had.  One of the only surprises was the ouster of Silvana Lima, who had the top wave score of the day in the first round with a 9.17, but had very little luck in her third round match, where she could only muster a combined 9.00 to Samantha Cornish's 12.67.
