Torah Bright

Torah Bright’s halfpipe run is the most technical and progressive of any woman in halfpipe competition, and it has earned her such wins as the prestigious US Open in 2006. Torah is known especially for her giant Mctwists, and she is the only woman who consistently throws difficult backside spins in her run. Originally from Australia, she now resides in Salt Lake City, UT, and is a devoted Mormon.

Torah skied from the age of 2, but picked up snowboarding at age 12, and never went back. She is one of 5 siblings, and her younger sister Abi is a competitive snowboarder as well. Her brother Ben serves as their coach. Torah competed in the 2006 Olympics for Australia, where she placed 5th.
