Tara Dakides

Tara Dakides is a Southern California native who spent years being completely untouchable in women’s slopestyle competitions. Her signature 180 backflip put her heads and shoulders above the competition for years, as one of the most progressive female riders in the world. Her fearless attitude has kept her at the top of women’s snowboarding, despite serious injury and other girls closing the gap in women’s riding.

Though she didn’t start snowboarding until the age of 18, her experience as a skateboarder and gymnast made it an easy transition to the snow. Now living in Mammoth, CA, Tara is famous on and off the snow. She has been immortalized as a doll, and appeared on TV shows such as MTV’s Cribs and Late Night with David Letterman. She is also an avid surfer and motocross rider.
