“All I can say is wow! Today is one of my great victories, especially amongst so many good riders and on one of the best superpipes in the world,” said Pesko. “With the speed I was able to get in the pipe, it made it easy to pull the back-to-back sevens. I haven’t been doing them all winter and today was one of those days I needed to pull out something new.”
Ticket to Ride (TTR) Tour leader and Roxy team-rider Torah Bright continued to live up to her reputation as the most technical woman’s superpipe rider, performing huge switch backside 540s and cab 720s. Torah was able to connect multiple maneuvers such as her signature switch backside five – a maneuver that no other halfpipe rider in the world does – securing her an impressive second place finish. Third place finisher and best trick winner, Paulina Ligocka, continued to impress the judges as she consistently opened her runs with very difficult and tricky, frontside 900s

In addition to the one-of-a-kind show on the course, fans and spectators were treated to free Monster Energy drinks, freebies from Zumiez and Paul Mitchell, as well as the chance to try out the latest hardgoods from Roxy, Lib Tech and Bent Metal as part of the “Country Fair” festival.
“We are now in our third year running the Roxy Chicken Jam at Park City Mountain Resort and our first year as a six-star rated TTR contest. We could not be happier with the continued growth of this event – from the level of the athletes competing to the fans and community represented,” said Randy Hild, SVP Global Marketing, Roxy. “This contest truly captures what is happening in women’s snowboarding and we as a brand are proud to be here in support.”
All of today’s action leads up to tomorrow’s TTR World Tour title race. The pressure is on for Bright, currently ranked number one on the Women’s TTR World Tour, to finish strong in the slopestyle event in order to stay on top of the point’s leader board and become the 2006/2007 Women’s TTR World Champion. With less than 80 points between them, Cheryl Maas and Jamie Anderson follow close behind in second and third.
“I just started to do slopestyle again since the Olympics and I love it. I’ve ridden through the course a few times and it is really fun,” said Bright. It's perfect that the Roxy Chicken Jam is the last stop on the TTR Tour because they are crowning guys and girls separately this year and it's fitting that the women’s champion gets crowned at an all girls event.”
Final Results
1. Manuela Pesko (SUI) - $8,000
2. Torah Bright (AUS) - $5,000
3. Paulina Ligocka (POL) - $2,000
