Lindsey Jacobellis

Lindsey Jacobellis is a double threat, a top competitor in the halfpipe, as well as on the boardercross course. The latter is where Lindsey really excels, and she has established herself as the best female boardercross racer in the world. However, she gained real infamy at the 2006 Olympics, where she attempted a grab during the final race and fell, losing her sizable lead, settling for a silver medal.

Lindsey grew up in Connecticut, but made frequent trips to Vermont to train with her brother Ben, who is also a boardercross racer. She attended Stratton Mountain School, where she began her serious competitive training that continues today. Lindsey works hard to portray an image of snowboarders far from the stereo-typical pot smoking punks, and it has paid off with plenty of wins, including multiple X Games gold medals.
