IP: The story is I was born in Moscow, but I’ve been living here in Switzerland for the past 10 years I’m 18. So I speak Russian with my parents, and Swiss German with my friends.
Lat34: So did you win this silver for Switzerland, or Russia?
IP: I won it for myself!
Lat34: You were showing a lot of love in the pipe today, can you take us through your run?
IP: Frontside 9 stalefish grab, backside 9 mute grab, then a frontside 7 indy grab, then a cab 10 melon grab, then a frontside indy tailbone… it’s all about the grabs!
Lat34: That’s a hell of a lot of rotation… do you ever get dizzy?
IP: Ha ha, yeah, actually I do sometimes!
Lat34: Do you spin in your dreams?
IP: No…
Lat34: You’ve just won a few dollars today… what are you planning on spending it on?
IP: Well, I think I’m going to get myself a mini ramp… I dream of mini ramps! Either that or I’m going to go to the Maldives with Jan, my Volcom team manager. Get some barrels.
