We last talked with Leanne Pelosi as the season was beginning lst year -- a busy time for any snowbaorder.  The 2006-07 season was a good one for Pelosi, with appearances at the New Zealand Open, where she finished fourth in Slopestyle.  She also participated in the U.S. Open of Snowboarding and the Roxy Chicken Jam, where she won the best trick award.  She also won the best trick award at the Honda Sessions in Vail.

Since then, she took part in several contests, including the Abominable Snowjam in July (where she placed 8th) and the Burton New Zealand Open and Australian Open in August.

But there have been more than contests going on for Pelosi.  Some of 2007 was used to film scenes for the new Runway Films  DVD "La La Land," which received its premiere  at the ASR trade show in August.

Probably the most important part of Pelosi's off-season has been the snowboard camp that she started four years ago, MGT (More Good Times) Snowboard Camp -- the camp puts on summer and winter sessions, plus additional camps throughout the year.  Pelosi, along with other pros like Jacqui Berg, Alexis Waite and Amber Stackhouse, serves as a coach at the camp teaching young women to have fun while snowboarding.

The summer camp ended in July at Blackcomb Glacier in Whistler, British Columbia, and the winter sessions are around the corner.

Once her camp is through, you'll see Pelosi back on the slopes at the top events in the sport, including the Winter X Games and Burton contest.
