The Winter X Games is definitely the pinnacle of action sports competition for the sports involved, but it is also very much a spectator event. Being on site is especially awesome, since the events are broadcast on the jumbo-trons, happen within feet of each other, and you might just get the chance to rub elbows with the likes of Danny Kass or Shaun White.

Everyone has a favorite event, even the pros themselves. We caught up with some of the top athletes, as well as some of the most colorful fans to find out which events are their favorites to watch.

Probably the snowmobile freestyle. I actually snowmobile a lot and when they jump and stuff like that it’s so crazy.

Actually my favorite event that I’ve watched so far,because I am doing all the snowboard stuff, is the skier halfpipe last night cause I got to watch Tanner Hall get absolutely crazy and I was drinking hot damn in the audience, shouting it out.

I think the drink-off at the late night scene. I think that’s one of the best events that goes on here at Aspen.

It’s a hard call. I think my favorite event to watch is Snowboard Superpipe ‘cause it’s like sideways ballet. It’s at night and it’s under the lights and it’s got that big rockstar feel. The daytime events are cool but once you drop the lights, that’s what pushes people to fly.

Snowboard cross ‘cause it’s exciting. It’s not a judged event, there’s a one two and three and it’s high speed, intense and I enjoy it the most.

I like watching the guy’s slopestyle because it’s ridiculous what those guys are doing these days. They have to huck multiple 1080s and double flips to get anywhere. It’s amazing.

Shannon - Probably men’s skiing superpipe finals. I liked all the tricks, but Simon Dumont got ripped off!
Lindsay - Probably the same thing as her and I agree about Simon Dumont. Tanner Hall should not have won. Simon went way higher and did more tricks.
Annabelle-Everything they said and I also liked the Women’s Superpipe final. I am happy that Sarah Burke won ‘cause I like her.

I would say the freestyle snowcross, just because that’s a lot of the stuff that I like to do, not as well as they do, but I like to try. That’s easily my favorite.

I have to say mono skier X ‘cause it’s all my friends and teammates who I travel with and get to know all season. I get to see them out there competing. Even if I’m not in the heat its always exciting ‘cause I know someone who’s up there.

I think it’s the mono skier cross. I just saw it today and I though it was amazing, and I thought that those are true, die hard athletes.
