His mood brightens when he gets a shipment of new clothes he designed for a signature line -- they feature his own designs for shirts and jeans. He is ecstatic and imnmediately dons one of his new shirts and heads to the batting cages with Mitch and Tony. After taking his turn Tony takes the bat and Ryan talks with Mitch about the Casey/Taylor situation. His biggest concern is that they can all still be friends. (Note to all you film students: this is what they call foreshadowing)

Later, Ryan decides to call on Taylor to help him while house-hunting because "you're the closest thing to my mom." The place he shows her to is sick, as it looks like it's got to be about 4,000 square feet with several bedrooms, a game room and more. Though he's got her there he doesn't ask at all about the break-up. Instead, it's all business and he decides he's going to make an offer on the place.
Back home, Ryan's agent comes by to give him an update on sales of his merchandise. Ryan didn't see anything at his local PacSun but Steve assure him that the shirts are shipping -- online, they're selling about 30 orders a day, and chains like Zumiez and Tillys are restocking their merchandise. There's also going to be a special launch at Tilly's on Valentine's Day to promote his clothes. So he's stoked.
That pleasant feeling doesn't last long, though. As he tries to work out in his garage, Taylor stops by and drops a little bit of a bomb. The night before Mitch and Casey were looking through Ryan's phone and found a text message from Ryan to Taylor about seeing the house. Oops. Turns out that didn't set well with them and they "freaked out" on her apparently thinking she and Ryan were hooking up.
Ryan immediately reacts and though Taylor urdes him not to, he gets on the phone with Casey and Mitch and lets them have it. We only hear his side but it's enough: Why are they looking through his phone and why are they disrespecting Taylor like that -- calling her, etc. Frustrated with what's he's hearing, Ryan decides to go so them in person.
That doesn't go much better -- When he gets there he blocks in Mitch's truck and forces Casey to get out. This is when the reality of a "reality show" gets in the way: Casey obviously doesn't want to talk on camera about it and tries to get Ryan behind a closed door. Ryan isn't having anything with it. He's totally pissed at both Mitch and Casey and everyone is talking over one another.
Finally Casey just takes off on foot leaving Ryan and Mitch to try to get to the bottom of what happened. But it's obvious Mitch doesn't want to admit they looked through his phone and Ryan is just tired of it. He wants to know why Casey has a trust issue with him, especially after he sat down with him on the beach to talk about it.
He goes home where he vents to Mom-Manager Gretchen, who wears the Mom hat and helps Ryan work through it. She advises him to try and have another conversation with him because obviously something esle is going on -- they've been friends too long for this to end like this.
Finally Ryan goes to Casey's house for another conversation. Ryan opens up with an apology and Casey follows that with his own, admitting that he did something stupid. Casey assures Ryan that he's still his best friend and that he trusts him and is going to be his roommate. Ryan comes back and assures him that he will never, ever hook up with Taylor.
With the relationship apparently healed, it's time for the Valentine's Day Massacre at Tilly's, where Ryan greets thousands of fans during an autograph session. The whole crew is there, including younger brother Kane and Taylor, Tony and Casey. But while Ryan and Casey may be good, Casey and Taylor certainly aren't.
The signing is going too well and the store has to close and end the signing early. Ryan, and his fans, are bummed, but it's the price of fame.

Random Notes from Episode 12 - Season Two
- Ryan gets tough in this episode -- it's a look we've only seen a few times during the run of the series -- and it shows how he can be a fierce competitor.
- So much for Ryan and Taylor ever hooking up. He made it clear that's not going to happen. Ever.
- No Range Rover this week. But a nice new Mercedes and a white Jeep. You have to admit, Ryan's got nice rides.
- So last week I said something about about Caselor ending with a whimper.... Yeah, that wasn't the case was it.
- It looks like we can finally hold the funeral for the old family movies. Now we have in-series flashbacks to work with. This week it was a look back at the season one finale when Ryan, Tony, Casey and Taylor promise nothing ever will tear them apart. Yep, that's just about how life works. And how is Mitch feeling about now? He wasn't there.
- I'm still trying to figure out where Mitch and Casey get off digging through Ryan's phone. That's only something wives or girlfriends (or jealous husbands) should do. Once you're broken up, it's over.
- Speaking of being over, I'm not sure how Ryan and Casey's friendship wasn't over after this blow-up. I can't imagine this is the end of that.
- And how about that house? Wow. Sweet. It looks better than the original place he wanted.
- I was a little disappointed about the coverage of the Tilly's event. I was waiting for the blood, the crying tweens sitting on the ground outside the closed door, slamming their fists against the glass in desperation... Ah well.
- So what's happened with Shane? How many weeks has it been since he's been on? Does he still live there? And Kane was only there for the signing (granted, Shane may have been there someplace but out of sight).
- The previews continue to look good. It will be a Kane-heavy episode next week but there's still some Caselor issues to resolve...
See you all next week.
