High School Skaters Compete in Second CHSSC Event
May 11 2007 / Los Angeles, CAThe California High School Skateboard Club (CHSSC) holds its second competition Saturday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, June 12, at Skatelab in Simi Valley.
The seven-team CHSSC featuring skateboarders from Los Angeles area high schools including Agoura, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Royal, Santa Monica, Simi Valley and Westlake. Each CHSSC team has five skaters and is led by a captain. In the season opener competition was extremely close with only 1.3 points separated the first three teams: 1st - Agoura (23.9 combined team score); 2nd – Santa Monica (23.6) and 3rd - Westlake (22.6).
Saturday’s event will focus on street skating in the parking lot of Skatelab.
