Daewon Song Stars In Fuel TV’s Original Series "Firsthand"

Airing Sunday, July 1, at 8:00pm Eastern Time (5:00 pm Pacific Time), and re-airing another seven times during the week, pro skater Daewon Song stars in FUEL TV’s signature 30-minute series “Firsthand.”

In this “Firsthand,” get a peek into the somewhat mysterious life of one of skateboarding’s most revered professionals. Tag along as Daewon reaches a career milestone and receives skate boarding’s most coveted title, Thrasher Magazine’s 2006 S.O.T.Y. (Skater of the Year). Reminisce with him as he recants his early skateboarding experiences and shares some never-before-seen footage and photos from the early days. Follow Daewon to the offices and learn about his involvement with his sponsors including Almost, DVS and Matix. Hit some of the many skate parks of Southern California with Daewon and his friends as they introduce you to what they call “Fantasy Thursdays.” Then, get a glimpse into the private life of Daewon and head to his house where his family keeps him on his toes and there’s never a dull moment. Next, you’re invited to a BBQ and some private warehouse sessions with the guys over at Liberty Board Shop.

Unfortunately, life deals Daewon a tough hand when his father passes away. Experience a rather candid moment as he confronts it head-on and comes out the other side. Finally, grab your board and get ready to skate two of Southern California’s best backyard skate spots—a backyard dream bowl in Orange County and a DIY wonderland in the dairy lands of Chino .
