Watch FUEL TV’s coverage of The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, which features the top 45 surfers in the world looking to win the contest and take the 2007 world title. 2006 Bells Beach title holder and eight-time world champion Kelly Slater (USA), 2004 Bells champion Joel Parkinson (AUS), 2003 and 2002 Bells champion Andy Irons (HAW), and 2001 Bells winner Mick Fanning (AUS) were some who dominated the contest held in Torquay, Australia.
It came down to the semifinals where Taj Burrow (AUS), Tom Whitaker (AUS), Irons, and Fanning were giving their best in hopes of making it into the finals. Irons knocked out Fanning in the semi final one, while Burrow won the other semi final.
As the contest came to a close, Burrow beat out Irons with a come-from-behind victory. Irons led the heat with just two minutes remaining, but Burrow caught the last wave earning a score of 9.0 and the victory.
