Marie-France Roy ruled the night Thurday as the best and brightest in snowboarding descended on the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas to celebrate The 9th Annual Transworld SNOWboarding Riders' Poll Awards. Roy's three awards led all winners while Rookie of the Year Austin Smith scored two of his own.

For one weekend it was a smorgasborg of snowboarding, skiing, and snowmobiling as the stars of Winter sports descended on Aspen, Colorado for Winter X Games 12. Boasting the biggest overall purse in X Games history, Winter X made for amazing competition and showmanship as pros from Andreas Wiig (pictured) to Shaun White to Gretchen Bleiler showed why they deserved the gold. The Vans Triple Crown Of Surfing and the ASP World Tour closed out their seasons with Billabong Pipeline Masters recently and the big winner was Bede Durbidge (pictured) who took home both the contest win as well as the Triple Crown title. In doing so Durbidge took out fellow Aussies Dean Morrison and Joel Parkinson along with Hawaiin Pancho Sullivan in the finals, not to mention countless others in earlier rounds.
