Nikita Chickita Snowboard Contest Dates: 2/11 Location: Mammoth Lakes, CA Official Site: http://www.nikitaclothing.com/nikitachickita/ Sport: Snowboarding Details: Come one come all to Mammoth Mountain on February 9, 2008 for the biggest thing in girl’s snowboarding since the backside 360! The Nikita Chickita will take over Mammoth’s Unbound South Park, offering up-and-coming female riders from near and far a chance to compete for cash or a one-year Nikita sponsorship. In its third year in the United States, the Nikita Chickita is one of the few competitions out there just for the amateur ladies. No more battling it out with the boys at your home mountain, this is your chance to be recognized as the shred star you really are! The competition is open to anyone, and is sure to bring out some new faces to push the level of girls’ riding. Past winners have included Marie France-Roy, Iris Lazzereschi, Erin Comstock and Bev Vuilleumier, and this year the podium is open for the next big thing. Perhaps you could be the next Natasza Zurek or Torah Bright! This year there will be two divisions, pro and amateur. Sponsored riders should enter in the pro division for a chance to win some of the $2,500 purse. Riders in the amateur division have a chance to win the grand prize of a one-year sponsorship from Nikita Clothing. Registration for this event is totally free, and is open now on Signmeup.com.
