The UnderSkatement Film Festival Dates: 12/1 Location: San Francisco, CA Official Site: http://www.underskatement.com/news/ Sport: Skateboarding, Film Details: UnderSkatement is a traveling film festival featuring the best in skater-made short films. The 2007-2008 program is the fourth collection of UnderSkatement films since debuting in 2001. Although skateboarding is the reason they put together UnderSkatement in the first place, they hope to focus just as much on the act of film making. And while they do feature skate shorts, their main goal is to promote film as a medium that is influenced by skateboarding. Their programs include narrative pieces, documentaries, music videos, experimental shorts, and more. In the past we’ve featured horror movies, sketch comedy, political commentary, satire, animation, travel documentaries, and interviews - all of it brought together through skateboarding.
