This event takes place August 16 - August 19 in a city known for outdoor sports. Unlike most major U.S. citites, the city of Portland has legalized skateboarding as a mode of transportation. The city has many skate parks including the infamous Burnside Park. The entire state of Oregon reflects the city’s progression in skating, as there are nearly 100 skateparks state-wide.
