Stereo Team Demo, Signing, Film Preview "A Journey Through Sound" @ Nine Star Dates: 6/3 Location: Los Angeles, CA Official Site: http://www.9star.com/stores/event/13832&eventID=1301 Sport: Skate, Film Details: The Stereo skate team will perform a demo at Nine Star in West Los Angeles from 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM. There will also be a Stereo skate team signing and a preview of the film "A Journey Through Sound." Stereo was founded in 1992 by renowned professional skateboarders Jason Lee and Chris Pastras. Stereo brought an innovative approach to skating incorporating street art, 50s and 60s design, jazz album cover artwork and ideas pulled from early men's magazines, Stereo has been credited as revolutionizing skateboard graphics, artwork and advertising. This fresh style was embraced by the skateboard community. In 1996, Lee set skateboarding aside to pursue an acting career. Pastras headed Stereo along until 2000 when he shut the company down to pursue other interests outside of the skateboarding business. Then in 2003 Lee, and Pastras teamed up again to re-launch Stereo with a new team of skateboarders and other influential artists, musicians, actors and individuals dubbed Sound Agents, Stereo quickly gained momentum. In addition to resurrecting Stereo, Lee landed the starring role on NBC's hit sitcom My Name is Earl while Pastras has become a prominent figure in the contemporary art world, displaying his work at famous galleries all across the globe. Stereo's Team Sound Agents are considered to be some of the most naturally gifted skateboarders on the scene. The team consists of Clint Peterson, Danny Supa, Olly Todd, Daniel Shimizu, Danny Renaud, Benny Fairfax, Tony Silva and Dyson Ramones.
