On Sunday, August 20, BMX Park took center stage at the 2006 Vans Invitational in Portland.

Despite a torn ACL, Ryan Nyquist still delivered, landing first beind an amazing run capped by a suicide double barspin backflip.

Scotty Cranmer and Daniel Dhers were in the running, both with great runs of their own, but Nyquist held them off. Dhers did end up holding on to the overal points lead with his third-place finish. Nyquist is second followed by Cranmer.
