The Dew Tour Toyota City Championships took the city venue and completely capitolized on it in every aspect. With San Francisco’s Bay Bridge in the back drop, Dew Tour’s first-ever streetstyle course shut down a major street for three blocks in order to showcase the urban enviornment contest setting while utilizing all types of street inspired objects such as jersey barriers, cement bustop benches, semi-truck trailers, stair sets rails, ledges and erected scaffolding with kicker ramps to launch up to and off of – the creativity of the course build alone was a spectacle in and of itself.

As you can see, this past weekend’s Dew Tour Skate Streetstyle contest was a major success.  In the EYES of action sports, everybody came out a winner this weekend. San Francisco is one of the biggest, iconic cities in the entire world.  Dew Tour did utilize the city’s unique terrain to represent S.F, but there are other places in the world that Dew Tour viewers may get the city mixed up with.  As a San Francisco expert, there are a few key characteristics that should have been covered in this weekend’s contest.

Black Feets – Everyone from the Bay Area knows that the Black Feets originated in San Francisco.  Skaters especially know that it is very common for a Black Feet to randomly ask you if you have any LSD to buy or sell.

Dreadlocks – Nyjah Huston did take 1st in Street Style, but may have won both events if he still had his iconic dreads because all the S.F. residents that sport the same hair style would have radiated some good vibes his direction.

Bladers – Skateboarders think that they own the streets.  Na uh.  As much as I hate to admit it, Bladers do.  When we take on the streets, we’re a scary bunch.  If Dew Tour allowed Bladers to take part in this week’s skate contest, I guarantee a Blader would have won.
