Zoptopz Contest Giveaway: “Here To Crimp Your Style”

We here at LAT34 know many action sports athletes and it is pretty safe to say all 12 of them agree that other street cultures are biting their style. They are all getting pretty sick and tired of it. In the past, if someone told me that snowboarders were defacing property by spraying paint all over the city, I would have told you that you must have been inhaling too much spray paint yourself. But it’s true; TAGGERS are dressing like SNOWBOARDERS to protect themselves from the cold and from inhaling too much paint. If you think that’s outrageous, imagine seeing people surf, but not on waves but rather on the roofs of cars. And we’re not talking about people, but some of the hairiest TEENAGERS at school. And of course there are the skateboarders. Just turn on any RAP video and I can tell you that the way hats are worn now, was how skaters got made fun of for wearing them in the 90’s. Flat.
Well I think a style revolution is upon us and it is time to go against the status quo. ZOPTOPZ is a new look revolutionizing the baseball cap with brims that are no longer flat or curved. Their brims have unique shapes that are Crimped, Curled, Bent, and Warped. Baseball caps are not about baseball anymore – they are about fashion. And they are cranking things up at Zoptopz by putting a crimp in your style and in your hat.
So would you like to get your hands on one of these awesome Zoptopz? For free? Well we have a challenge for you. At 12PM (PST) tomorrow, 10/27/10, we will be putting up a video on this post. The first three people to answer this correctly will win one.

I have taken new hats and used a belt sander on them to make them look vintage… and I have also used bleach and hand drawn stencils to make awesome looking artwork on my hats!
There are so many things you can do with a hat and I have DONE with my hats!
I have also used hand carved stamps made from potato’s (Yes I know very old school and super cool, but I had the raddest Brand X Skate hat that was custom done by me and EVERYONE wanted it back in the day!)

I would have a white hat and use black ink to “tat” the whole hat except an area in the back where itd be calligraphied “AnnMarie” surrounding the tatwork
I think that would standout and be very unique and my own!

For ball cap idea: Make the bill so that it spins around to the back, so that it’s out of your way when needs to be without taking the hat off.

I would combine the Zop Top logo along with a LAT34.com logo. Putting these two logos on a white hat using a color changing screening for the logos.

For the logo I would use one of those things that when you hold it one way it looks like something and then if you turn it the other way it would be something else, so LAT34 one way and a certain sports logo the other, but since I don’t have the resources to do that I would buy a white hat pick my most favorite image, use the iron on paper, iron it onto the hat and then color it in with sharpies (I <3 sharpies)

I would make one that you could change out the logo on. As much as people jump on and off “band wagons” this would allow them to change out the team on their hat for who they are rooting for that week.

I hope I am posting in the right place for some creative spark…I am a LAT34 Angel so some angel wings are a must, I have seen them on shirts etc. and they can be folded a bit or open on the hat. Now for the Zop Top, since the brims on the… hats are already unique, step it up with material pattern, like paisley, brocade, stripes, checks and squares, satin, velvet that kind of thing. It is the pattern of materiel used and can be anything! Could go back centuries to see what was in style and the wings can compliment or contrast as wanted, talk about a style revolution! How is that for the status quo!

I would make the top of the hat look like a baseball but in colors other than white and use recycled baseballs to make the brim!

WEll, I live in WI, where it gets crazy cold….i’m a fan of baseball caps, but love me some warm hats….so combine the 2!Picture trucker type hat with buttons to attach furry flaps to cover your ears
