There aren’t enough good contests for you New Yorkers/East Coast Skaters.  It might be because it’s pretty difficult to throw events in the most populated city in the United States.  That is why if there is any budget for contests in NY, they throw eating competitions just like the one on CONEY ISLAND where guys from JAPAN come and dominate the rest of the field (except for the past few years).  Plus the promoters of eating competitions find it suiting for a country so caught up with gluttony.  So it works out perfectly.

Knowing that some of the best skaters come out of the east, you might be asking yourself why there aren’t more skate competitions.  Well there is one now that fits the NYC skate scene quite perfectly.  It’s called THE BEST LINE IN NEW YORK.  If you remember the exclusively east coast video that came out a few years ago,UNDERACHIEVERS, you may have noticed those guys are masters at doing lines no matter the terrain.  Especially Ricky Oyola.  That dude’s a beast, and he SPEAKS really well too.  There are way too many things to skate for there to not be anything worth while.

Anyway, follow these rules and submit your video to NY SKATEBOARDING.

1. READ THE RULES below so you don’t get disqualified.
