The Memory Of Johnny Romano Lives On

With all the bad horrible stories filling up the local nightly news every single day, it can get pretty depressing.  It feels like you’re getting bombarded with non-stop Youtube clips reminiscent of the 90’s hit cult movies, FACES OF DEATH.  And it’s unfortunate because those kinds of stories is what people tune into and thereby gets the network to sell advertising.  It’s a sad state of affairs because for every bad story that gets highly publicized, there are dozens of more positive stories that get overlooked.

For anyone who had followed Johnny’s journey, his story was filled with inspiration and hope.  But it was a very sad day when everyone’s little brother had passed away from a long battle with leukemia.  His memory will forever live on in what used to be called the Texas State Jam, is now called the Johnny Romano Skate Jam.  The 2nd Annual Johnny Romano Skate Jam just took place this past weekend at the Southside Skate Park in Texas.  The Johnny Romano Skate Jam donates all of its proceeds to the Make A Wish Foundation of the Gulf Coast Chapter making it the hugest charity event in skateboarding today.
