Unisphere Ar Flushing Meadows To Be Demolished

This country has many problems.  A growing national deficit with no end in sight is killing our future.  How are we supposed to get back on our feet while billions of taxpayer dollars are being spent on saving the banks while the ordinary citizen is still without a job?  Big problem.  High blood pressure is now the leading cause of heart disease in the country that leads to heat attacks.  Our diets have become so saturated with fat, salt, and sugar, that we have become one of the unhealthiest countries in the world.  Huge problem.  And we as Americans love to destroy things. We’re actually very good at demolitions and it shows.  Despite being beautiful, it leads to us having nothing that speaks about our pasts.

The United States is still a relatively new country.  We have come a long way since our founding fathers and framers had built a wonderful and free nation.  But if you look at other countries, especially the ones with ancient civilizations, they have countless sites that age back many centuries ago.  These sites teach us about how life was lived back then, and gives us major perspective on life today.  So how are we as Americans supposed to have a rich and full history if we continue to destroy everything to make space for newer and brighter things?

That’s why you and I should have a doubled interest in this PETITION created to help save the Unisphere at Flushing Meadows.  Not only is it a monumental skate spot for thousands of skaters world wide, and has been seen in countless epic skate parts, but it is also a staple at the Flushing Meadows Park in New York City for over 2 decades.  It’s beautiful, it represents Flushing Meadows, and it’s a great place to skate.  Sign the petition HERE
