I’ve said many times before that Torey Pudwill is one of my favorite skaters out right now.  Not one of my favorite young skaters.  Not one of my favorite handsome skaters.  I’m talking about one of my favorite skaters period.  He’s got a great mix of technical/big tricks with stylo like none other.  He’s in the middle of Battle At the Berrics 2 and I think he has a really good chance of making it to the semi-finals.  Not the finals though.  Chris Cole is taking it down.

Airing Sunday, November 1, at 8:00pm Eastern Time (5:00pm Pacific Time), and re-airing several more times during the next month, professional skateboarder Torey Pudwill stars in FUEL TV’s signature 30-minute series “Firsthand.”

Nineteen-year-old professional skateboarder Torey Pudwill is on a mission. That mission is quite simple, skateboard as much as possible and make sure someone is there to document it.  In this “Firsthand” we’re invited along for the ride as Torey makes the most out of his summer and juggles his way through multiple projects and events. Already knee deep in filming for the upcoming Almost video, Torey adds to his laundry list of obligations when he accepts the offer to film a featured segment in the newest Transworld video. In an effort to keep his Transworld part distinctive from his Almost part, Torey enlists friends, photographers and Transworld filmer Jon Holland to show him new spots to film at.

Next, we head to Copenhagen, Denmark with Torey and some of his DVS Shoe Company teammates for the third annual CPH PRO contest.  Competing against top European skaters as well as pros like Eric Koston and Zered Bassett, Torey’s nerves almost get the best of him but he ends up winning his first pro contest. Upon his return from Europe, Torey heads to the Orange County Fair Grounds to compete in the invite-only, high stakes Maloof Money Cup.  Riding the wave from his first place finish at the CPH PRO, Torey goes all-in against P Rod, Chris Cole, Ryan Sheckler and a veritable who’s who of today’s top pros. At the end of a grueling three-day battle, Torey walks away with a respectable fourth-place finish and $10,000 in prize money.

Finally, Torey travels to St. Louis, Missouri to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to skateboard inside of a museum. Torey along with a few of his fellow Matix clothing team riders and a handful of other skaters are given permission to film and shoot photos inside of St. Louis’ “City Museum.” A museum unlike any other, it’s packed with obstacles and objects that most people only dream of skating.

Whether he’s filming video parts in the San Fernando Valley, winning his first pro contest or skateboarding on works of art, one thing is certain, Torey loves his job as a professional skateboarder and is ready to do whatever it takes to maintain it.

Torey Pudwill’s episode of “Firsthand” will be available to watch on www.fuel.tv and www.hulu.com the week after it airs on TV. It will also be available to download from iTunes for $1.99.
