Volcom Damn AM Results

I drink a lot more caffeine than a normal person; I know it’s bad for me and I’m shedding hours off my life with every sip, but I love it.

Coffee is my #1 choice when I need my caffeine buzz, and I love everything about it. I love the roasted nutty taste of coffee, the way it tastes so amazing with a little cream and sugar, it’s the best. The only problem with it is that when it is 2pm and about 95 degrees outside, hot coffee is not the most refreshing choice.

This is why I was excited when energy drinks came out a few years ago, I could get the same buzz as coffee but with all the refreshment of soda. The only problem with energy drinks is the price, when you drink 3-4 a day it adds up. A couple of weeks back while cruising the 99 cents only store, I thought I had come up with a solution: Steven Seagal’s Lighting Bolt Energy Drink. That’s right the ponytailed martial arts master has his own energy drink.

This stuff doesn’t taste too bad, it has secret Tibetan Herbs in it, and every can bought puts food in Seagal’s voluminous tummy. The best part is it is $1.07 with tax. Up until yesterday I was drinking this stuff every day. Every day my allergies got worse and worse every day but I just blamed it on the changing of seasons, no it was Lighting Bolt. I guess I’m allergic to one of these ancient Tibetan herbs. So it looks like I’m going to have to switch brands, bummer.

This past weekend, we wrapped up our 8th Annual Damn Am here in the Volcom parking lot with the help of SPoTlight Productions, Cons and The Skateboard Mag. Skateboarders traveled from all over the U.S., Canada, Europe, Brazil, and Australia to skate the contest, which made for an amazing show and competition. The skateboarders in the contest raised the bar on the level of skating as they do every year. Everyone brought their Halloween spirit, good skateboarding was witnessed by all and the contest ended with a big product toss. Click here to check out the full report with more photos and video.
