At this year’s Dew Tour, Chris Cole was a shoe-in for the Skate Park Dew Cup going into Orlando’s PlayStation Pro after earning a pretty significant lead in the standings. But Cole earned that lead thanks to his consistency and being able to find the podium — he hadn’t actually won an event. Until Saturday.
Cole edged Paul Rodriguez and Greg Lutzka to take his first win of the season, while last year’s Dew Cup winner, Chaz Ortiz finished fifth in the contest and second overall for the season. P-Rod, who was actually tied with Ortiz in the Dew Cup standings, ended up third because Ortiz had a higher event finish overall (winning the Wendy’s Invitational in Portland).
