Geoff Rowley And Erik Ellington Heading GoSk8 For iPhone
September 22, 2009 – 6:13 pm PT by MikeTags: Erik Ellington, Geoff Rowley, Go Sk8, Ipod, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out —
I’m all into iPhone games as much as the next guy but I feel that these phone applications are ruining my social life. I used to be a heavy video gamer when I was a KID. These were days of MIKE TYSON’S PUNCH OUT to Super Mario Bros and up to Street Fighter. Back then I could literally sit in front of my television playing these games for 14 hours straight. I know because I did once. And it’s not like today where you can easily save your game, go take a crap, and then come back. You had to leave your video game system on the entire time if you had to step out for a second. It’s probably tragic how much crap I missed out on as a kid.
But now that I’m older, I’m finding myself picking up the same old habits. My head is always in a downward position at the post office, grocery store, or in church, playing with one of my dozens of iPhone applications. Especially with ESPN’s CAMERAMAN.
Well here’s a brand new ap that I will most likely get addicted to and it looks like Mike V will have some stiff competition for his new iPhone game, “Do or Die”. GOSK8 is proud to welcome onboard pro skateboarders Erik Ellington
(Deathwish skateboards) and Geoff Rowley (Flip skateboards) who will serve as the new face of the company.
GOSK8 is a new iPhone application/tool for physically playing the traditional game of skate. The developers of GOSK8 have gone to great lengths to spice the game up by adding three different skill levels (basic, medium, advanced) and four obstacle options (ledge, manual, transition, flat-ground), making it the only skate application of its kind.
Rowley – “GOSK8 takes the game of S.K.A.T.E. to the next level. There are so many options with the different levels and obstacles that anyone at any level can play it.”
Ellington – “When I first downloaded GOSK8 to my iPhone I didn’t expect it to be so sick. There are hundreds of tricks depending on what level and obstacle you choose. What I really liked most is that you can play by yourself or against another skater. This is no “sit on your ass” game. You actually have to get out there and skate with GOSK8.”
