If you’re thinking that the $150 ticket is a Verizon Sponsored skateboarding event, I wish you were right.  It would be so rad to have the VERIZON guy hyping up the crowd chanting, “Can you hear me now?” while passing out free Verizon stickers for your shred stick.  But that vision will only live on in our dreams because the ticket is actually a $150 violation for talking on your cell phone while skateboarding in the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.  Now I know that your initial reaction is, “That’s totally so non tubular brah!”  But you can’t fight the system, especially when you look like THIS

So instead of getting angry in this situation, I think it’s best to embrace it and go along with the change.  Plus who has $150 to waste on something so ridiculous.  You would rather spend your money on PROTECTIVE GEAR.

If I lived in Philly, I definitely would abide by this law.  But if they go after skaters, they sure as heck go after other wheeled maniacs on the streets.  PRAYER BOYS for one.  They go faster than skaters and I see them more of a threat.  They also better go after handicapped people.  One time I saw these two guys in San Francisco racing down the hill on their electronic wheelchairs.  If you know SF hills, you know that there’s potential for anyone to get hurt.
