“Build Your Dream Frame” Design Contest Presented By Standard & Vintage BMX

Back in the 10th grade, I paid a visit to my local thrift store.  I was looking for some vintage suspenders to go with my outfit for the SKANK’N PICKLE show later that night.  While looking through the bin of ties and belts covered with dust, something abruptly caught my attention in the corner of the store.  It was a rusty vintage bicycle with flat tires.  Most people would have seen a piece of junk.  I saw tremendous potential.  There was no chance that I would go home without buying that piece of art.

So what did I do with that bike I bought from the vintage store?  I painted it sky blue, with matching clouds.  I put colorful beads in my spokes.  The flag behind my seat flew higher than any flag in town.  Everyone knew I was near with the mighty bullhorn I attached to the handlebars.  When people saw my on the streets, they thought I was the wind because of my streamers.  I called it the ZephyrrrR.

Have you ever wanted to “blend” the attributes of your favorite BMX bikes together (front end from one, middle section from another, and your own idea for an innovative rear end) to make the perfect “dream” frame? Well, one way or the other…here is your chance.

Standard Byke Company is giving VintageBMX.com Site Supporters the chance of a lifetime—to concept and realize their dream frame. Dream big, get picked, and you’ll be riding it before you know it.

TO ENTER: Develop a concept (you can use pencil & paper, CAD, or just describe it in the forum thread—illustrations or CAD highly preferred), and post it in this thread.
