Winter Olympian Busted For Marijuana Possession

It has been reported on The Southland Times, “Two high-profile United States snowboarders, one understood to be a Winter Olympics double medallist, will appear in court next week charged with possessing cannabis.”  It has been confirmed understood that the two snowboarders were 26-year-old Danny Kass, and 21 year old Louie Vito.  The pair of them will appear in Queensland District Court on Monday for marijuana possession for what was said to be “not an insignificant amount”.

As far as I’m concerned, if the United States government would lift a federal ban on marijuana possession, use, and distribution,  good kids like Danny Kass and Louie Vito wouldn’t be in this mess, thus saving tax payers hundreds of millions of dollars annually, and while marijuana would be aiding in those physically ill with glaucoma or AIDS.  Okay, sure you can get the same useful effects from THC in pill form, but come on.  How are we still living in a day in age when drinking alcohol, which has minimal health benefits, kills millions of people each year in car accidents alone, and is the root cause for the majority of addicts; and puffing weed is not legal?

I personally am not a weed smoker because it makes me paranoid, I feel dumb, and I don’t feel in control.  But I am for the legalization of it.  Could you imagine what this country would be like if marijuana was legal?  It would generate billions of dollars in tax revenue to each state every year.  That means better roads around the updated school facilities equaling a great investment into the future. The beheadings, kidnappings, and ruthless slaughtering of human beings would slow down because the demand for crappy Mexican weed would plummet.  And the pharmaceutical companies, who by the way are not your friends, would have to worry about a little more competition, driving costs for your grandma’s medication down.

For the multiple things that the Governator did to bring down the 8th largest economy in the world, California, I applaud him for one thing.  By igniting the conversation for the legalization of weed.  He must be desperate.
