Can you recall the first time you saw Samuel L. Jackson act? Earlier in his career, he did dozens of films but only in various minor roles. Maybe it was his tiny cameo in TRUE ROMANCE that stood out to you or maybe he was the dude that got shot in his panties in the movie GOODFELLAS that caught your eye. Whatever film it was at the time, I’m sure he stuck out to you like a sore thumb. You probably thought, “Who is that guy? He’s got a great presence.”
Well over the years, slowly but surely, his face got more and more recognizable. He began to acquire roles in blockbuster films like JURASSIC PARK. But nothing got him more recognition than his part as Jules Winnfield, “The man from Inglewood”, in everyone’s favorite film PULP FICTION.
But after that, you couldn’t help but notice that Sam Jackson was practically in every great film put out by Hollywood. . Especially the mega super films. Films like xXx, SNAKES ON A PLANE, and even had a role on WWF’s SMACKDOWN. I think these are the types of films Samuel will forever be remembered for. The “Great Angry Black Man.”
Greg Lutzka has also taken on the “great angry black man” role as well. Once he surfaced and stuck out from the group of skaters with TIGHT PANTS, Greg capitalized on his gnarliness with endorsements such as TOYOTA, K-SWISS, AND now Axe Body Spray. These aren’t necessarily skater driven products, but Greg walks to the beat of a different DRUM. Check out his new spot below.
