Since the introduction of super high-speed slow motion cinematography in digital movies, such technology has enabled us, the viewer, to see things in a way we haven’t seen before.  Long are the days when FRAME-by-FRAME slow mo clips would ruin our VCR’s tracking.  But are these cleaner, highly developed advances in slow motion technology a good thing?  That remains to be seen.  Personally, I am against the supersonic slow motion camera because it takes away from the mystique regular motion is supposed to capture as seen in one of my favorite ROUTINES

The video clips below show Rick Howard’s new commercial which was filmed with a special high-speed camera. The super slow motion playback lets you visualize effects that cannot be seen with the naked eye or a standard video camera. Rick was not hurt during the filming of any of these clips. Any discomfort was willingly accepted in the interest of Ricks new LAKAI shoe, which is really comfortable.

In addition, this spot really reminds me of an old Spike Jonze short film called, “How They Got There”, starring the Gonz.  I wonder if this was somewhat inspired because shoes tangled on electrical wires have always inspired me.  I like to think they belong to angels (or a guy named ANGEL)
