Upon meeting somebody for the first time, our innate instinct is to judge them by looking down at their feet first, and continue to observe them as you work your way up to their eyes. If you’re BRUNO, you probably have a 10 second pause around the groinal region. You can tell a lot about a person by the shoes on their feet. I’m not exactly a shoe fanatic myself, but I am proud to tell you that within 10 seconds of looking someone’s feet, I can guess their sex, lifestyle, socioeconomic status, and depending if the shoe is open toed, their race. And that’s with an accuracy of around 95%. But don’t sell yourself too short there. I’m sure you can do the same. Let’s take a look at some examples.
This one is easy. These open toed high heels definitely belong to a white woman who is about to go clubbing. You can tell that the woman is short because she makes up for her insecurity with these very chunky high heels. But because of the style, this woman’s stature doesn’t bother her by taking on something so bold. Am I correct? CHECK IT!
Whoa, I guess I’m just a little off on that one. Well you’ve seen these before. They’re a pair of Nike Dunks. As you can tell, these definitely belong to a guy. He’s not your average sneaker head because he’s walking through the desert where as most sneaker heads wouldn’t dare. But because he is in the desert, I’m willing to bet he’s the adventure type who takes life very seriously. Someone this much on the go has no time for socks. Now let’s see if I’m correct. CHECK IT!
Okay, maybe I was a little off there but as you often see in life, there are exceptions. Let’s try another pair of kicks. The pair above obviously belongs to an athlete. By the looks of things, the sneaker looks a little small so I’m going to guess that this person is a female. She is definitely in the act of stepping backwards on concrete so this leads me to believe she’s a basketball player on the defensive end. And finally, I will say that she is Caucasian solely on the fact that her skin looks white. Now look to see if I’m correct. CHECK IT!!
Oh man, this is really embarrassing. I guess the lesson learned here is that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Or you can’t judge a person by their shoes. If you need as much education on shoes as I do, go get yourself the iMADE FOR SKATE Ap. Otherwise, get yourself the book because MADE FOR SKATE is dope!
