In time, every game must evolve one way or another in order to progressively make the sport better. Basketball introduced the three-point line and the game gave birth to some of the SHARPEST SHOOTERS in history. Golf evolved the game by taking out those ugly GOLF TROUSERS. And Mixed Martial Arts evolved their sport by adding the wristband. Without the wristband, there are no guts, no glory, and definitely no leaning arm bar. Check out what I’m talking about below.
Now, the game of SKATE has evolved as well by way of the Apple iPhone. Instead of flat ground tricks, the use of obstacles like manual pads, transition, and ledges are now in use. The developers of GO SK8 have gone to great lengths to include a few hundred tricks in each category that are standard for each skill level but with enough difficulty to make any level on any obstacle challenging and fun. So maybe that means if computer programmers developed a few tricks, we might be seeing tricks like “the mondo powerslide” and the “jump up the curb with your shred stick”.
Although by the very nature of skateboarding there is an infinite amount of variations of tricks and combos on numerous obstacles, GO SK8 was built with the intention of serving the skate community as an addition to the progression and culture.
