Dave Mirra, Garrett Reynolds Lead BMX Park Prelims at Nike 6.0 Open

Some familiar faces led the way in Friday’s BMX Park Prelims at the Dew Tour’s Nike 6.0 BMX Open. Dave Mirra edged Garrett Reynolds to be the top qualifier (90.00 to 89.50) but that just means he will be following last year’s top three (Daniel Dhers, Mike Spinner and Ryan Nyquist) when the finals take place on Saturday.
Also making the grade were many park vets, including Dennis Enarson, Craig Mast and Morgan Wade. Steve McCann and Marcus Tooker will also compete for the podium.
Missing the cut in the prelims were Scotty Cranmer, who basically missed last season because of a broken foot, and Rob Darden and Ryan Guettler.
More than 50 riders tried to make the prelims in the Open qualifiers, including Diogo Canina and TJ Ellis, who missed out on advancing.
