Top Southern California Skaters Compete for Title

The Futures AM Series is the competitive culmination of the National High School Skateboarding Association (NHSSA) after-school skateboarding program. The June 20th finals will celebrate the hard work of over 50 teams made up of over 200 individual skaters. The headquarters in Costa Mesa will be opening its doors for an afternoon of skateboarding, food and fun. The event will start at 12:30 pm with a LIVE benefit concert by gorgeous got a gun. The contest will start at 2pm , held in a jam session format with the top three teams receiving overflowing prize packages. There will also be exhibitor tents set up and food will be available through Nalu Island Barbecue.
The brainchild of founder, Jeff Stern, NHSSA offers an alternative to young people by providing a structured arena in which to compete with their peers and develop future careers in the skateboard industry.
