Time To Fill Out Your Battle At The Berrics 2 Brackets!

The Battle at the Berrics Part 2 should be pretty amazing this time around.  This time you got the opportunity to vote for your favorite skaters to partake in this epic event.  Everyone from P-Rod to Chris Cole to Mike Vallely, to Jamie Thomas all got voted in.  And even some of the up and comers like Cory Kennedy got voted in.  But I have to be honest.  There were some names on that list that should have been on but for some reason, didn’t make the cut. 

Mark Gonzalez and Terry Kennedy for example got voted in but had scheduling issues.  Actually I think TK just never called Berra back.  He’s probably too busy at the DENTIST.  And there are a few others like Geoff Rowley and Daewon Song who unfortunately got injured.  All the skaters should be happy Daewon is out.  But there were two names in particular who really stood out but were nowhere to be seen on the roster of skaters.  And I think you probably knew who they were too. 

For one, how could Jereme Rogers not make the list?  He’d been making the biggest HEADLINES over the past few months, which certainly kept him in the spotlight.  Not only had he come out with one of the sickest rap albums this decade, he felt the presence of JESUS just last week.  I mean I think this guy is literally blessed head to toe.  And from a competitive perspective, not adding Jereme to the competition is like BRAZIL not partaking in the World Cup.  How could you leave him out? 

And second, you little bastards really let me down by not voting in the one and only Ryan “Ry Ry” Sheckler.  Now I know that with as many fans that he does have, he probably has an equal amount of haters.  But don’t you think that adding Ry to the competition would make it that much more exciting?  I mean, what would you rather watch?  Hulk Hogan Vs. HILLBILLY JIM or Hulk Hogan Vs. THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR?  Of course you would choose the Warrior.  Why?  Because there’s more drama, more excitement, more skill level, and more suplexes.  Voting to keep the competition on the safe side is predictable and pathetic.  Plus it’s a slap to the face to skateboarding.
