Koston Finds A New Shoe Home

The inevitable has come. After months of speculation of which Eric Koston’s new sponsor would be, NIKE has announced that Koston is their newest pro skater to join the SB team. Now I don’t know about you, but I’m actually quite surprised that Eric decided to go with the swoosh. Who knew with the likes of British Knights, Keds, or even SOAPS, Eric would go with Nike SB.
I personally thought that after he announced his departure from the LAKAI team, he would go to the team that best personifies an Angelino. That’s right, LA GEARS should have been the new home for Eric but I guess he couldn’t pass up getting free Ha Seung-Jin kicks. But are you tired of these multimillion dollar (in this case multibillion dollar) companies coming in and swooping the best guys from the smaller teams? I’m not. Fools gotta get PAID!!
Here are a few words from Mr. Eric Koston.
“Not only am I psyched to be a part of the great group of guys that makes up the Nike SB team, but I’m equally as excited to work with them creatively. I’m sure many people know that a lot of different Nike’s have been the inspiration for my shoe designs over the last 12 years, so I feel like a fucking kid in a candy store when it comes to this partnership between Nike and I.”

i was waiting for the day Koston would go Nike…all his shoes simulate Jordans except Koston 1’s and the Lakostons
