A Million To Juan??? Not Quite But Almost…

On December 31, 1984, a star came shooting from the heavens above and landed here in Los Angeles. To tell you the truth, that star was actually a sperm, which developed into a human fetus and later on a baby boy. That boy’s was named Paul Rodriguez Jr. For many years, it was Paul Rodriguez Sr. who was the main honcho in town. Sr. was a very successful stand-up comedian, a great family man, and the lead actor in one of the greatest films ever found in a carwash bin: A MILLION TO JUAN. That film tore down the ever-growing problem of perpetuating racial STEREOTYPES.
Last night, that once runt of a sperm, now Paul Jr., had finally caught up with his successful father with the premier of his cult film STREET DREAMS. The first time I heard about this film lead me to believe it was about a set of RICE ROCKETERS all vying for a spot in THE FAST AND FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT.
Street Dreams made its star-studded Hollywood Premiere at the legendary Grauman’s Chinese Theatre overlooking Hollywood Boulevard. Pro skateboarder and television personality Rob Dyrdek makes his writing, producing, financing, and starring debut in the film, which showcases some of the world’s greatest skateboarders.
“Everyone check out my friends new film “Street Dreams” in theatres this friday. It’s sick!
