Collaborations are quite often a good thing; John Lennon and Paul McCartney, peanut butter and jelly, and the most important movie collab of all time: Point Break. If you haven’t seen Point Break your life isn’t complete, I will back this bold statement with a small snippet of dialogue from this excellent film:

Johnny Utah: You got a death wish. You want to ride to glory, fine. But, don’t take Tyler with you. I’m begging you. Tell me where she is, and I walk away.
Bodhi: You walk away?
Johnny Utah: I walk away.
Bodhi: That’s beautiful Johnny.

Now the collaboration of Burton and Paul Smith may not be as life changing as the one between Keanu Reeves and Patrick “Roadhouse” Swazye, but it seems like a great idea none the less:

The focal point of the 2009 Fall/Winter collection is a bondage-inspired snowboarding jacket that combines fashion and function with welded pockets, taped seams, a pass pocket, gauntlet cuffs and an adjustable hood. The jacket is available in two colorways; black shiny rubber and jacquard leopard print.

A selection of patchwork trimmed t-shirts and sweatshirts are also available in black, white and purple colorways. Bold striped and leopard print first layer pieces and neon alpine knits inject further color into the collection, in addition to slim-fitting organic denim jeans.

The new line will be carried in the UK and in Burton flagship stores worldwide.
