LA Times to Kelly Slater: “Quit while you are ahead”

There are a lot of people working in Hollywood today that are way past their prime and should have just hung it up along time ago. I will use Al Pacino as an example; let me start out by saying that Mr. Pacino has made one of my favorite movies ever(The Godfather 2 being in my top 5 favorite movies), and he also starred in “HEAT”, which if you are a fan of crime movies, and haven’t seen it, you are trully missing one of the best heist films ever.Heat was made in 1995, and since then, Mr. Pacino hasn’t (IMHO) made a good movie worth watching. Most of his films are just him yelling and playing “Al Pacino” for 2 hrs, not my idea of a good time. Mr. Pacino isn’t very old and may still have a few good roles in him, but he sure isn’t showing it. I guess what I’m trying to say is, the world knows that the potential for another Tony Montana is there, but please do us a favor and quit playing yourself.

The L.A. times put out an article saying that Kelly Slater should quit competitive surfing because he is past his prime in the contest circuit. Most people think they are wrong. Click on the link below and see who you agree with.

  2. Who are you to tell someone when they should quit? Kelly Slater can still win and he can still shred it. I’m not going to quit something I love just because I’m not quite as good as I used to be.
