Travis Pastrana At It Again, Victory Again sigh

Its Tuesday, one of those lame ass days, where you try to go through the motions of what you need to do for the day. Drink a cup of Joe; knock out that list of things to do. Go home and call it a day. You know, my day today was pretty productive. I took some friends to the airport at LAX, went to the post office. Got keys made, and then changed out some headlights. Shoot, now when you think about it, and write it down, pretty boring. Really boring. Yeah can you imagine, that this is as good as it gets. So I wonder what’s a case of the Mondays is like for Subaru Rally Team USA driver Travis Pastrana? I bet you he doesn’t go to the post office to mail his unemployment check claim.
Travis P is probable sipping, Tuesday morning Joe, and polishing a new trophy that he just added to the case. Yep that’s right folks, he won another race. Let’s pause for a moment to clap our hands. Travis Pastrana took the win this weekend at the Oregon Trail Rally, and moved into the championship lead. I think we know where this headed last year. Dude is in fine form. Here’s a modest quote from the man himself. “It was an amazing rally,” said Pastrana. “That’s three wins and a tree this season – not so bad.”
The Oregon Trail Rally is not a lot different from the video game we all played as a child, in the computer lab. You know the one, where you were a settler, that had to worry about food, water, and your wagon not breaking down, or the occasional attack from the native Red man, then again that’s because we were trespassing on their land. The Oregon Trail Rally took place over 100 miles of competition on a course that includes a mix of twisty, hard-packed forest conditions and wide-open farming roads. The Mount Hood area’s hilly terrain meant plenty of elevation changes throughout the contest. The conditions were sunny and bright, making for dry and dusty roads and a visibility challenge for teams. Teams at this event are also competing for a shot at X Games gold this summer. With six drivers already invited, there are four spots open to top-scoring competitors after the first five rounds of the series.
Racing at a blazing pace to pull into the lead early on Day 2, and held it there to the finish. The defending champ and co-driver Christian Edstrom have won three times in four starts in their Subaru WRX STi. That car needs a nickname. Second place went to Rockstar Energy’s Tanner Foust and co-driver Chrissie Beavis. Yet we all know, no one remembers second place losers. Winners stay winning.
