It’s Going To Be A Strange Day in Encinitas

Taylor Steele will premier his current film “Days Of The Strange” at the Encinitas Community Center. I guess we are on a roll today in do gooder things. Usually it’s a lot of trash talking, and hatin’ on just about everything. It doesn’t mean we don’t have a soft spot. The tickets are $15, for the fundraiser. For the Kona –Cali scholarship fund. So you can chillax and watch the world Premier with good peoples, good surfing, and groovy music. Oh dear, did I just use groovy in a sentence? The two-screening video premiere is part of a benefit event and will be will be followed by a performance by the HI Roots, as well as a silent auction and raffle of items generously donated by Quiksilver, Reef, Nike 6.0, Nixon, 808 Stand up Paddleboards, Primo Island Lager, Monster Energy Drink, Clark Little Photography, John Rowe Photography and others.
So what’s it all about Alfie? What’s it about? The reason for the scholarship is that students from Kona, Hawaii have a chance to come to the mainland and pursue their education on the collegiate level and give them the career experiences and opportunities in any exciting options in what ever they dream of. The scholarship fund was started by Travis Brown and Max Robinson. Graduates of San Diego State University. So you know folks it’s all about doing that right thing. So show up and throw down for a good cause at the Encinitas Community Center is located at 1140 Oak crest Park Drive in Encinitas, CA. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the all ages showing taking place at 6:00 p.m. After the film ends and the first crowd makes their way home, the doors will reopen at 7:15 p.m. for the age 18 and over second showing, which will occur at 8 p.m. sharp.
