I’m sure that a lot of you are pretty bummed that Andy Irons is not partaking in this year’s ASP WORLD TOUR.  I saw the same reaction from a bunch of 15-year-old girls who were bummed because the Jonas Brothers canceled a visit to MTV’s Total Request Live.  I suggest you better get yourself some help brother because that is not natural.  But for those of you who don’t want to hide your feelings, then I’ve got great news for you.  It looks like despite not being on the tour, you can catch Andy in a town near you.  Most likely only if your near a coast because with the release of A Fly In The Champagne, Andy is making the stops.

The three-time world champion made the trek from Kauai out east to the Big Apple for a few days. After shooting with Fuel TV, Andy stopped off for a visit at the Billabong Times Square store where he sat down for an autograph session. People from around the globe came in to take photos while he signed a fresh new poster for them. After Times Square, Andy and crew cruised down to the Herald Square Bong store for another signing. Don’t underestimate the NYC surf scene. Guys came down with their own boards to have Andy sign them.

After a long day touring the city and catching a few Broadway shows like RENT, he went to get a refund.  Then his crew headed down to Soho for the premier of A Fly in the Champagne at the popular lounge Katra. The place has an unreal lay out with a large VIP area upstairs for people like him and New York native Regis Philban.  The eclectic New York frothed over the film and were so stoked Andy made it out for the premier.
