The Berrics’ Bang Yo Self Winners Announced

What came first: the chicken or the egg?  Chickens come from eggs but the eggs come out of the chicken’s butt.  Or you can just go with the lazy answer and say that God created both at the same time. This debate has baffled theorist, scientist, academics, philosophers, and frat boys for decades now.  In the same vein that puts this question through a perpetual dispute, I ask the same of skaters.  What came first: CORY KENNEDY or Skateboarding?  And what I mean by that is how the heck is Cory Kennedy so damn good and not even pro?  Let’s not get Cory mixed up with the cracked out CORY KENNEDY who’s always with that COBRA SNAKE dude.  This Cory unlike the other Cory, has got major talent.  THE BERRICS just wrapped up their 2nd Annual Bang Yo Self skate contest and without a doubt, Cory Kennedy took home the coveted prize as The Bangin Champ. 

Along with the great exposure Cory will be getting from such accolades on The Berrics, the competition also gives much recognition to a few HONRABLE MENTIONS.  Of that list I would like to highlight my Honorable Mentions who I thought were major standouts. 

First is KOLITO ROSSOTTI. With a name like that, I’m not exactly where he’s from.  All I know is that he’s not from earth because with style like that, there’s nobody on earth who can breed such awesomeness. 

The next skater I would like to pay tribute to is the lists’ loneliest skater award.  DUSTIN DAVEY who I think lives in his garage, just stole my heart.  I was completely humbled by his living conditions and just hope that one day he can escape from his dungeon. 

And finally, I would like to give props to MIKE MCMAHON, who without his dope bag of tricks probably would have never made it on the list.  He balances out his crappy styled haircut with a unique style of skateboarding.  Not only can he smile at the camera mid manny, but he pulls an amazing 360 flip tail grab.  I thought to myself, how could someone put so much time into mastering those tricks while putting so much time and mouse into his hair?” 

Congrats to everyone who got their share of the spotlight.  Unfortunately for me I got no recognition for my ill ass BLADE BANGIN VID.
