Where The Wild Things Are Trailer Released!

I know that we are not a movie website, but I find it necessary to share this with you guys. I’m not alone when I say that “Where the Wild Things Are” has to be the most anticipated movie of the year. Not only does Spike Jonze direct it, but it’s also probably the most revered book from my childhood. Everyone in my class loved that book so much that the library had to buy multiple copies to keep it in stock. Anyway, we mentioned earlier this week that the trailer is going to be premiered this weekend for the release of MONSTERS VS ALIENS. In response to this news, I went out and bought 5 screening passes for the film just to see the trailer with the intention of walking out after seeing it. Just as I did for the Star Wars trailers. And I have no life.
Well I just wasted $60 because the trailer was released today in high definition over at the APPLE TRAILERS website. Now I’ve got to warn you, if you’re a big fan of this book like I am, be careful how you might react if you’re watching it with your friends because you might embarrass yourself. For example, when I heard of the news, I nearly shat myself. While watching it, my body was shivering from goose bumps with the aid of a perfectly used song by the Arcade Fire. And when it was all over, I nearly shed a tear, which is amazing because the last time I cried was when Jason reconciled with Molly on THE BACHELOR.
On top of it all, the film includes an excellent cast including Chris Cooper, Forest Whitaker, James Gandolfini, and Catherine Keener. Plus the music is done by the Chinese boy from the YEAH YEAH YEAHS. Anyway, go to the WTWTR site for the trailer in high definition. Or in the meantime, enjoy the clip below.
