Imagine if you’re one in hundreds of thousands of people and you’re all competing for the ultimate prize. The dream of becoming Americas Next Top Model. Then imagine you have been waiting in line for over nine hours for the NYC auditions just to have it end in a riot. “Damn girl, you best not be cut’n front of me. I’m going to become America’s Next Top Model. Well that dream came to an end when these people were told they were too old, or too fat, or too muscular. You better imagine yourself in another setting.
The US Open; now that’s a competition you have a shot at. The second day of the 27th annual US Open saw a field of 121 men vying for 40 spots in Friday’s slopestyle qualification round. Now that may seem a lot but think about it. Your skills will give you a realistic shot of taking it all. Plus there won’t be any cat fights. Of those 40 spots, only ten will move on to Sunday’s semi-finals where they will face invited riders like Chas Guldemond, Shaun White, Tim Humpreys, Charles Reid, Risto Mattila, Sebastien Toutant, and maybe YOU some day.
