Unfortunately, the result the headline above did not end up like the Vallely frame on the right.  This story is a wakeup call to skaters everywhere that must constantly deal with jerk offs in the street that has nothing better to do than be jerk offs.  Just last week, the eS Footwear team avoided getting capped while skating in Lima, Peru.  You never know when something like this can happen so maybe it’s time you protect yourself.  First of all I’m not one for violence but maybe skaters should be getting into Brazilian Jiu Jitz Ju, or possibly some sort of martial arts.  Second, maybe its time to carry some pepper spray.  My friend used to carry it with him while we skated but he used to spray it on us when he got bored.  Bastard.

Twenty-year-old skater Taylor Appelo, brother of pro skater Devin Appelo was jumped and beaten during a scuffle on Saturday morning at the MAX line Skidmore Fountain station in Portland Oregon.  Taylor’s jaw was broken in three places and he had five teeth knocked out in the confrontation.  Taylor was hospitalized at Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Health Center. He also had multiple facial cuts, a broken rib and a dislocated thumb, family members said. He underwent surgery on his jaw Saturday evening.

Portland police officers took a report on the attack and detectives will probably start investigating the case Monday, spokesman Mike Marshman said. Detectives will want to view video images of the Skidmore Fountain MAX site, he said.

Hopefully these guys will be identified on TV.  Then hopefully the skaters in the area will identify them before the cops do.  Watch the news story on the local FOX NEWS station.
