Okay, okay I know what you’re thinking.  Just because he has one of the biggest, most handsomest smiles in all of snowboarding along with endorsement deals in the video game industry, TARGET, all the snowboard apparel one could ever dream for, plus probably one of the worst nicknames but still makes it cool with the “FLYING TOMATO”, Shaun White’s life isn’t always a paradise.  Sure on the outside looking in he’s looks to be enjoying himself.  But deep within his inner psyche, there are demons that haunt him everyday.  These questions haunt him.  Like why isn’t he winning more competitions?  And why isn’t his smile even brighter?

Who am I kidding?  The kid has a pretty awesome life and it just goes to show that Shaun is one hungry mofo.  Just because he’s been at the top of the snowboard world for some time now in regards to medals and money, he’s always hungry for more.  And not in a creepy MR. BURNS way, but in the ambitious, self motivating, aspiring to achieve more, type of hunger.  He’s what we call in the extreme sports world call, “PUSHING IT TO THE MAX BRAH!!”

ESPN has done a special webisode series delving into the life of Shaun White through the lens of the X-Dance nominated film, “Don’t Look Down”.  Here we see another side of the Flying Tomato as he struggles with injury during the Nippon Open Slopestyle Finals.  At least he’s still smiling.  Keep checking back for more webisodes of his ongoing struggle to be numero uno.
