Flip Team Signing At Sunken City Skate Shop

Nothing will ever beat the original BURNSIDE but if anything were to come close, I would have to say that the CHANNEL STREET in San Pedro, Southern California would be a close second. Or its beginning to become a close second. Just like Burnside, Channel Street is built by the people; for the people (except rollerbladers) to enjoy and have some hassle free fun. If you’ve never heard of Channel Street before, well here’s your chance to get up close and personal. Not just to skate, but to go rip.
This location is under the Channel Street Exit off of the 110 freeway in San Pedro. It has a huge parking lot and is a park and ride for carpoolers. These guys have always built ramps and rails down here and a few years ago they decided to pour some cement and see how the city felt about it. The city of San Pedro was stoked! They are behind the project 100% and are happy with the process so this park is here to stay so it is time to expand!
Well to help expand the cause, FLIP SKATEBOARDS will be doing a team signing at the nearby skate shop SUNKEN CITY to promote the shop’s 2-year anniversary. Everything goes down Sunday, March 8th at 12:00 PM.
Skaters in attendance:
Mark Appleyard
Geoff Rowley
Rune Glifberg
David Gonzalez
Louie Lopez
Curren Caples
Lance Mountain
Luan Oliveira
Make sure you make it out there to support one of the sickest teams along with one of the dopest causes.
